Affiliate Marketing Secrets

One of the easiest and fastest ways to make money online is through affiliate marketing. This is when you send visitors to someone else's product sales page, they make the sale and deliver the product, and you get a percentage of the sale price as you commission (usually 50% or more for digital products).

The benefits of this are

You can get started almost immediately because you don't have to create a product, write the sales page, design the website, develop marketing materials, or set up the ordering, billing & delivery system.

You have almost no investment of time because you don't have to do the customer support or deal with billing or technical issues.

You have nearly zero risk because you already know the product sells. So if you send visitors you will get paid.

Looking at these benefits, it's clear that affiliate marketing is the way to go!

The downside is...

After all your hard work of generating traffic to the sales page, you will never see any of those visitors again. Most of them will not buy on their first visit, which means you're losing over 90% of the traffic right off the top. And of the 10% or less that do buy, the product owner will be able to sell to them again, but you will not.

What's the solution?

Simply put, you need to capture the name and email of your visitors *before* sending them to the product sales page. This way you can follow up with them and keep sending them back to the sales page to increase your chances of making the sale. And if you're really on top of your game, you'll then send to a pre-sales page in between.

Here's what these affiliate marketing strategies will do for you:

You'll be building your own list of potential customers that you can market to again and again.

You'll be pre-selling them by providing valuable information and then casually linking to the product sales page in the context of this information.

In order to set a system like this up, you will need the following affiliate marketing tools:

A Video Squeeze Page (with video)

One or more content-rich Pre-Selling Pages

At least a 5-Part Email Followup Series

The video squeeze page is where you'll direct your traffic instead of directly to the product sales page. It captures the name and email of your visitors and puts them into your autoresponder, which then begins sending out the 5-part email series. Then it redirects them to your pre-selling pages after they subscribe to your email series.

All of this together increases your chances of making the sale by up to 500% so it's well worth the effort of setting it up. And once it's set up, it runs automatically - you just keep sending visitors to the squeeze page.

If you don't have the time or expertise to set it all up yourself, you can use something like Affiliate Silver Bullet. Services like this design the enter system (the video, the video squeeze page, the email series, the content pages, etc). The benefit is that it's much less expensive then you could do it yourself, and it's instantly set up. The downside is that other people will be using the same affiliate tools as you. But the internet is pretty big, so this isn't much of a concern.

The other route you can take is to hire people on Elance to create and implement the various aspects for you. Either way, it's an important step that you need to take if you're going to be serious about your business.

- EBI going off line right after finally restarting.
- The death of a few big ones like Genius Funds, GNI.

But like I posted on February 1st, I try to focus a little more on my off line life. If you want to know my thoughts about things, feel free to shoot me an e-mail ok?
I get behind in responding to e-mail sometimes, but I try to get back to everyone.

A new beginning

I have decided to spend less time at my computer and spend more time taking care of my family (which I was doing already, of course!) and of our home and garden. Also, I’d like to go out to visit people who need some more attention, in stead of staring at my computer screen all day.

I am going to be moving information to this site and I hope I will be able to make it so, that is will still be very informative to you, my readers, and low maintenance for me!

Hello all,

I know, I know .... I'm not terribly active on this blog - I do have a lot to muse about but it is mainly happening off line!

The whole family is enjoying some time off (except me, I am still typing in the evening hours) so it's a full house.

Also, our youngest will be 6 years old in two days, and we are spending time with our relatives as well, of course, so I'm not on line much.

I continue to report my payments on my site and other blog of course, but not musing much on this one at the moment!

I'm sure most of you will understand and agree that there are more important things in life than making money on line! :)

It's Christmas!
We remember the birth of our Saviour and are grateful for what He has given us - in this life on earth, and in the eternal life we will have with Him - which has already started - for those who choose to believe.

EPPXtra is moving again!

Wow ... I just had to add something here, because of my previous post about the PAC programs.
Looks like EPPXtra is moving again! My phase 2 position has moved 26 spots just today - which is pretty good because 4 positions are needed to create just one new phase 2 position. This means over 100 new members just today. To be continued .......

I am sorry to have to say that my support of the ladies at PAC is dwindling.

After the launch of their first cylcer, EarnPerpetual Profits, which was supposed to get payouts moving again for their profit sharing surf site, PAC Revenue Share, the cycler stalled extremely quickly and no payments have gone out at PAC Revenue Share so far.
Now their second cycler, EPPXtra, was supposed to make it all good for everyone - new and improved, they had learned from the mistakes they made in the first cyler - hmmmm.
It is also stalling again, within 2 days after launch. What will be next? Yet another cycler? Count me out.

Mind you, I am very fond of both ladies as people, but my confidence in them as admins is decreasing. Sorry girls.

I know it is easy to say what should have been done afterwards, but just running the one program and lowering the returns to make it sustainable might have been best after all. No more ponzi's to try and fix things, please. :(

Another one bites the dust ...

AdsDailyPro and AdRebatesPro are dead.

The admin, Diane Maasland, confirms this in an e-mail update.

I do not pretend to know exactly what led to this unexpected closure of the sites, and what the admin did, did not do or should have done.

I do have a general theory though:
It seems that more and more people are starting to learn how to play. Taking out your seed money with some profit early on is the only way to stay ahead in this business. Once the majority of members start doing this, programs that depend on member support (= member $$$) will die faster and faster.

I did not see this coming and am at a loss in both programs. By more than usual even - I went against my own advice and spent more in stead of less at ADP! At ARP, I did not even have time to get my seed money out, I only got 40% back.

I don't know if Diane plans on doing something for the members who lost. She sounds pretty 'broken' in her update and she will probably leave the business for good.

Too bad - and another lesson learned (again - because I already knew this!) : no matter how promising a program looks, play it as safely as you can!

As the more obvious games die out and are removed from my list, I will once again try to stick with programs that depend (or at least seem to depend!) on more than member support alone.
(I should not have let myself get tempted to join the big games again.)

PAC For All is closed

PAC For All is closed

I woke up to this sad news this morning.

I have learned (the hard way) how to stay ahead in these games but it is very saddening to see the animal-like behavior of some members (and even non-members!) in the forums at this time ......
They are ready to tear up the two wonderful ladies who ran the program, not placing any of the blame with themselves. Forgetting that nobody forced them to spend anything and that they were warned from the start that it was a game with no real outside income to support it. Ignoring how silly it is to pour thousands of dollars into such a game but they did anyway.

When members stop depositing, it is the end of the game. The ladies did not run with the cash - they simply ran out.

That is how these games go when honest admins run them. And they usually end up being called the most vicious names that they do not deserve.

The most disappointing thing to me is, that people who have been around a while are joining in the bashing. They should know better by now.

But unfortunately, some people will never learn. They are not cut out for this business but they refuse to see this and will continue with their unreasonable demands and empty threats.

Makes me think of kids on a playground ...... crying and screaming because they want their marbles back, after losing them to other kids in a game.

Maybe they truly are children posing as adults in the forums, who knows?

WeNetProfits in the news again ....

There is a lot going on at WeNetProfits, because they are currently in the middle of a so-called "soft pre-launch" of a new residual system.

What attracted me the most to WNP was, that there is only a one time entry fee - which makes it affordable, even for poor recruiters like me.
Also, because of the 'follow your upline' system, you can cycle even with just one (very) active referral! I know, because this has happened to me!

Now the new residual system does have a monthly fee, and not a small one!
I am not going to hop in, because I know I would not be in profit any time soon and it would just cost me a lot of subscription payments (remember The Advertising Gold Mine?!)

So, do I still recommend WeNetProfits? Absolutely!

But I would go for the one time entry fee (only $50 + $9.95 registration fee) and stick with it. You could use your earnings to purchase a spot at the $100 level as well later on, but $60 to test the waters with no further costs is quite doable.
If I had not purchased a $100 spot as well, I would now have been in profit from the $50 level alone - with just one single direct referral!

The WNP presentation is extremely optimistic about your earning potential, indicating you could cycle with the same referrals several times daily. Even though this is possible in theory, I would not promise you that, because this only goes for people with a huge following. I have no lists, just a handful of people who like following my site and blogs - but I am making money at WNP!

My slogans for WNP: "refer one to break even" and "even I can do this" are still true and if you can spare the $60 fee and are willing to advertise the program, I think you could make some cash here.

Allright - starting today things have changed in the PAC group.

Here are the updates from our dear admins, with a few comments/clarifications from me:

Update sent out to the members of PAC Revenue Share:

Hello Everyone,

We hope you are all having a great week. This is an important update, please make sure that you read it all.

Our rates have dropped steadily since the STP technical issues started and we have been brainstorming how to put new life into PRS and streamline our sister programs PAC and PacForAll (MG: which is a game).
We have come up with a few things. What we will accomplish with these changes is first and foremost, bring more members into PRS and the rate will gradually stabilise to something we all like.

The Success of our Sister Program, PacForAll, has inspired us to introduce a plan B into PRS. Just as we have have a successful HYIP, we need to have a surf with the most coveted plan in the industry. We are convinced, surfers will really appreciate to have a place to earn high profits too. And it will also boost Rev Share rates as you will be required to have at least a minimum of $5 in Plan A to be allowed to purchase in Plan B.

So effective today, we have a Plan B - which is 12x 12 paid on expiry.
(MG: upgrades at PacForAll will now also be paid on expiry in stead of weekly - small change there.)
Minimum is $5 Max $15K
PPs accepted, STP, AP, LR ,SP and PM.
RC 7% on First Deposit and 3% on all subsequent deposits.

Big Changes for the Rev Share Plan :

- Payouts will no longer be daily. We will pay once a week, on Wednesdays.
- Minimum is 14 % - Max 35% (MG: accumulated return for the whole week!)
- PPs accepted STP, AP, LR and SP.
No Fees.
All Fees paid so far will be added back to your accounts starting next week.

(MG: so we now have two different plans in PRS! The original revenue sharing plan with weekly payouts from now on and the new fixed return plan with payouts after expiry.)

Please read through carefully and understand that these changes will enhance PRS. Get the word out and invite your friends ! We are here to stay and build PRS into a real business for you all!

Forum Traffic is back!

At long last, the folks at Forum Traffic have finished the migration of all accounts ( a manual task ) to the new script. After they had checked and double-checked everything, we were finally allowed to log in and surf again yesterday.
Forum Traffic is no longer a fixed return program but has adopted the profit sharing model.
We have started out with very modest returns these first two days, but the administration expects the returns to go up starting today. This is today's update:

after the very low ROI right after the re-launch we are noticing, that the ROI seems to be rising due to new upgrades and some external earnings which we have received today. We cannot yet estimate the final ROI for today but we are confident, that the ROI will reach an acceptable level very soon.

A heartfelt apology ...

Dear readers,

I have to apologize to you for my recent feeble attempt to become a successful recruiter by heavily advertising The Advertising Gold Mine.

My on line presence may suggest otherwise, but I usually don't have large downlines at all. Also, I don't maintain a list of contacts to bombard with new opportunities. I could, because many people contact me each week - but I choose not to. Why? Maybe because I don't like to be bombarded myself and I was taught to treat others the way I would like to be treated. Even the ones who specifically ask to be put on my list, receive an explanation that I don't have a list. They are free to contact me anytime about the programs I put up and they can track my site and blogs but I don't actively contact my 'contacts'.

However, this one time I did. I sent out an e-mail to over a hundred people, explaining to them why The Advertising Gold Mine was such a good deal. I am now sorry I did so.

This is part of what I just posted on MMG forum:

I was so excited about the idea of guaranteed cycling but without the earnings of every second / fourth / sixth etc bronze position, there is just no way my earnings can keep up with my subscription payments anymore.

I'm sure there are heavy hitters out there who are making a fortune from the renewal bonuses alone but I'm not one of them. I had 10 refs but I only have 6 left now. I have noticed the total membership drop from time to time (stats on home page) but I had not expected to be one of the people leaving ......

I am not a good recruiter at all - maybe I'm just too honest for that because I simply cannot hype up a program with a clear conscience, without knowing for certain what it will do for the ones I recruit. I am now sorry I even tried. And I'm sorry for the other non-recruiters I got involved here. Another lesson learnt - I stink at MLM!

So here it is: my heartfelt apology for attempting to drag you into 'the next best thing'. I promise it won't happen again.

GNI not going private yet!

GNI staff has let the membership know that they are able to handle a larger total amount of money now, and that they will be able to accept new members for a longer time than expected.
From the latest update:

"It is understandable that persons which include active members as well as those who have just heard about GNI are concerned that they will not be able to get their deposit level(s) up to that which they want by a certain date which we have thrown around in both the newsletter and our sponsored forum. Technology, being what it is, has cleared a significant amount of room for those who trade for and on behalf of GNI and its clients. As such, we don't anticipate a closing date prior to December 1st; a more likely time-frame will be sometime in the first quarter of 2010.

We Understand EVERYONE'S concerns. This decision, however, is made at the Administrative/Principal level to include all the partners at GNI. The date that is selected will be predicated on several factors, none of which are relevant at this time, for this newsletter. We will give all of you PLENTY of advanced notice before implementing and change of this magnitude."

So, once we 'hit the ceiling' so to speak, GNI will not only be closed to new members, but there will also be only limited space for new deposits from existing members. New deposits will only be possible if someone decided to withdraw their deposit, thus making room for some more fresh funds.
Deposits can be withdrawn after 30 days at GNI. Minimum investment is $50 but there is also a so-called 'rollover' plan with a minimum of only $3 - a nice piggy bank to work yourself up to the $50 required for the weekly fixed plan.

In case anyone was considering joining MySurf4Cash soon - it will be closing to new members for a while after July 31 - that is just a week from now.

Admin Jack tells us that signups will not be closed forever but it may be a while before they open up again so ... if you have money to upgrade available, now might be a good time to join.

GoldNuggetInvest is under attack ...

Please be aware that a few individuals (or a group) is trying to damage GoldNuggetInvest. They have gotten their hands on some of the info in the GNI script and have tried to scare the membership with the info, and to take the site off line.
The site is back up and completely in tact but these people are still sending out fake e-mails to the membership.
Whatever you do, do NOT click on any links in e-mails that claim to be from GNI!!!
GNI is not going anywhere.
One of the columns in the deposits overview is off - this is due to some testing by the GNI staff, while they prepare to switch to another script.
Meanwhile, member funds are absolutely safe. Funds cannot be accessed via the script because this is only a front. GNI will only pay out to the payment processor account (or bank account) that the original deposit came from so don't worry.

I have no idea how many members will actually see this post but I thought I would at least do my little part to help keep everyone informed. :)

I am always on the lookout for 'real' opportunities, that is - online money making programs that have (at least some hint of) outside income.
However, I have decided to 'play around' a bit in a few games as well this summer.
I will not advertise them because the risk is simply too high - but it kind of brings back the fun I had in my early surfing days, when this industry was still a bit friendlier than it is now.
When I report a payment from one of these games on my payments blog, I will add (game) to the name of the program and I will not post my referral link. I just found a refund from Surfing-4-roi in my LR account, so I immediately checked the forums for news. As it turns out, the site is closing today and refunds are going out to members not yet in profit. I actually received a full refund for my last upgrade, and I ended up in profit.
I had not even started to check the sources of income of this program but I will not have to now. It was a very nice program with a highly responsive admin and a very unique script. Sorry to see it end already.

DolceSurf - high risk but interesting

I have just joined this new site. The admin asked me to check it out a while ago but I waited a while to see how it would do. He is paying at lightning speed so far but the forum threads are still pretty quiet.
I consider this one high risk because the admin gets his income mainly from online hyips and other surf sites. I do expect it to go well for a while though and my 'gut feeling' about the admin is, that he is ok. Feel free to use my link if you want to test it with me :)

One has to wonder what is up with this site.
It is a game but according to the stats on the home page, making payments should not be an issue yet. Still, some members report waiting for days - even a week - for their payments, while others are being paid in 1 or 2 days.
The lack of updates or even forum posts from the admin suggests that he has no real explanation for this difference. He has said from the start that those supporting him in the forums would be paid faster than others - but not that some would have to wait over a week, which is against his own TOS.
So the question remains: what is going on ..... ?
